Police Seek Public Assistance to Find Missing Teen in Sault Ste. Marie
Sault Ste. Marie Police are actively searching for a missing teenager, Mya Johnson, who was last seen on Tuesday in the 1500 block of Wellington Street East. The 14-year-old has been reported missing multiple times in recent months, prompting the police to appeal for public assistance shortly before 1 a.m. today.
Mya Johnson is described as being approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall with a slim build. She has black hair and a distinctive heart tattoo located under her left eye. At the time she was last seen, Johnson was wearing grey jogging pants, a black puffer jacket, and a beige cardigan.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service urges anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact them at (705) 949-6300.
Johnson’s previous disappearances have ended positively, as she was found safe each time. Nevertheless, her current absence raises concerns for her safety and well-being, making the public’s cooperation crucial in locating her swiftly.
Authorities are particularly keen on gathering any tips or sightings that could lead to her safe return. Community members are reminded to remain vigilant and report any relevant information to help ensure Mya’s safe return home.
