Residents of Oak Bay have the opportunity to delve into memoir writing during a free workshop led by acclaimed writer and retired university professor Frank Wilson on March 18, 2024. This event aims to guide participants through the process of crafting their own stories, whether they wish to document their entire life or focus on a significant chapter.

The workshop will take place at the Monterey Recreation Centre in the Bamboo Room from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.. Attendees will engage in discussions about the essential elements of memoir writing, including the “why,” “how,” and “what” to include in their narratives. They will also learn valuable strategies for determining which experiences to highlight and which to omit.
