The Faith Christian Falcons celebrated a significant milestone on Tuesday as Carson Bivins surpassed 1,000 career points in a commanding victory over Unity Christian, finishing the game with 26 points. The Falcons won decisively with a final score of 72-30, showcasing their strength on the court.

Bivins’ achievement marks an important moment in his basketball career, highlighting his dedication and skill. His teammate, Brody Bodzioch, contributed to the victory with 12 points, further solidifying Faith Christian’s position as a formidable team this season.

Other Key Matchups in Boys Basketball

In another matchup, Byron triumphed over Oregon with a score of 53-31. Despite the loss, Cooper Johnson led Oregon with 9 points, while Keaton Salsbury added 8 points. Pearl City also had a strong performance, defeating Polo 60-29, with JT Stephenson scoring 10 points as Pearl City established an early lead.

St. Bede secured a victory against Amboy, winning 63-41. Colt McCoy was Amboy’s leading scorer with 19 points, but the team struggled, trailing 38-16 at halftime. In the Western Big 6 Conference, Galesburg defeated Sterling 54-35, leaving Sterling with a record of 4-14 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Girls Basketball Highlights

On the girls’ side, Eastland dominated Morrison, winning 39-11 with Morgan McCullough leading the Cougars with 21 points. Teammate Trixie Carroll contributed an additional 11 points. Dakota faced off against Forreston, where Dakota emerged victorious with a score of 50-32. Hailee Vogt led the Cardinals with 12 points.

Fulton also secured a win against Polo, finishing 55-41. Wrenn Coffey had a standout performance with 21 points, while Breleigh Hayton added 20 points for the Steamers. Polo’s Cam Jones was the game’s top scorer with 23 points.

Bowling Results

In bowling, Dixon’s girls team scored 2,620 against Rockford Christian’s 1,927, with Madolynn Kirby leading Dixon with a series total of 487. The boys’ competition saw Sterling achieve a total of 2,945, narrowly defeating Erie-Prophetstown, which scored 2,885. Grady Witmer led Sterling with a personal best series of 605, including a high game of 224. For Erie-Prophetstown, Zach Phillips topped the Panthers with a score of 665.
