Lethbridge Welcomes Six New Doctors, Enhancing Healthcare Access

Lethbridge has seen the addition of six new doctors in the third quarter of 2025, according to the latest report from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. This increase, effective from July 1 to September 30, brings the total number of fully registered physicians in the city to 317. While many residents still face challenges in securing a primary care physician, these figures suggest a gradual improvement in healthcare resources.

The increase of six doctors represents a notable change from the previous quarter, as well as an increase of four compared to the same period last year. Over the past three years, Lethbridge has experienced a net growth of 43 physicians, rising from 274 in the third quarter of 2022.
