Young Pianist Myrea Shares Holiday Cheer with Santa
A second-grade student from Uplands Montessori Elementary School, Myrea, has expressed her holiday spirit through heartfelt correspondence with Santa Claus. In her letter, she shared significant recent achievements and plans for the festive season.
On November 23, Myrea participated in Canada Music Week, showcasing her piano skills by performing “Whale’s Lament.” The experience left her feeling proud and accomplished, as she embraced the joy of music during this special week dedicated to celebrating musical talent across the country.
In addition to her musical achievements, Myrea engaged in community service by playing Christmas carols for elderly residents on November 30. This act of kindness not only brightened the spirits of the seniors but also allowed Myrea to spread holiday cheer through her musical talent.
Following her performance, she attended the Cloverdale Figure Skating Santa Parade, which is a cherished local event that brings together families and friends to celebrate the holiday season. As a part of her festive preparations, Myrea mentioned her intention to leave out cookies and milk for Santa, along with carrots for his reindeer, demonstrating her excitement for Christmas and the traditions associated with it.
Myrea’s letter reflects a blend of personal achievement and community involvement, highlighting the importance of both individual growth and giving back during the holiday season. Her enthusiasm serves as a reminder of the joy that the holidays can bring to both children and those around them.
As Christmas approaches, Myrea’s heartfelt message and her actions resonate with the spirit of the season, reminding us all to celebrate our successes and share joy with others.
