Brandon University and Assiniboine College Announce Holiday Schedules
As the fall semester concludes, both Brandon University and Assiniboine College have shared important updates regarding their holiday schedules. The last of the fall exams at Brandon University take place today, marking the end of the semester. The university will commence its holiday break on December 22, 2025, and will reopen on January 5, 2026, for winter orientation.
Brandon University Holiday Break and Upcoming Classes
Upon reopening, some classes within the Faculty of Education will begin on January 5, while the majority of courses will start on January 6. During this holiday period, the Healthy Living Centre will remain open, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. Limited hours will be in effect on select days. For detailed hours, individuals are encouraged to visit HealthyLivingCentre.ca.
In sports, the Bobcat Athletics teams are currently on break, with competitive play in the Canada West conference resuming in January. The basketball teams will be the first to return to action, facing off against the University of Winnipeg Wesmen for home games at the Healthy Living Centre on January 8 and January 9.
Assiniboine College Initiatives and Break Schedule
Assiniboine College is also gearing up for the new year with events designed to support students in agricultural programs. On January 21, 2026, the college will host an Ag Mixer as part of Manitoba Ag Days. Attendees can reconnect with alumni, and while registration is not required, it is recommended to email [email protected] for planning purposes.
Additionally, the college will be closed from December 24 at noon until January 2 (inclusive). The college community wishes everyone happy holidays and looks forward to welcoming students back in 2026.
As both institutions prepare for the upcoming semester, the emphasis on community support and student engagement remains a priority. For more details on events and schedules, members of the community can visit the respective institution’s websites.
