According to Sgt. Paul Walker of the Abbotsford Police Department, two patrol officers were on duty near Fraser Highway at approximately 19:15 PT when they noticed a significant amount of smoke rising near Ross Road. Upon arriving at the location, they found a trailer completely engulfed in flames.

Sgt. Walker stated, “Upon arriving in the area, officers located a trailer fully engulfed in flames.” The severity of the situation prompted immediate action, leading to the woman’s rapid transfer to a medical facility.

The cause of the fire remains undetermined, and investigators are currently working alongside the Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service. Authorities are assessing whether the incident may have suspicious elements.
