Victoria police have issued a call for public assistance in locating William Tate, an 82-year-old man who is currently the subject of a British Columbia-wide warrant stemming from a child pornography conviction. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward as they work to capture Tate.

Tate is described as approximately six feet tall and weighing around 225 pounds. He has grey, balding hair and blue eyes. According to police, he may be attempting to evade capture by fleeing to the Interior regions of British Columbia in a grey 1997 Chevy Astro van bearing the licence plate EW7008.

Public’s Role in Locating Tate

The police are collaborating with Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers in their efforts to locate Tate. They emphasize the importance of community awareness in the search process. Individuals who may have seen Tate or his vehicle are encouraged to provide tips, which can be reported anonymously.
