The Prince George Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are seeking public assistance in locating John Daniel MacBurnie, a 43-year-old man who has been missing for two weeks. MacBurnie last communicated with his family on October 6, 2023, and his absence has raised concerns among relatives, who describe his disappearance as out of character.

According to Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, a media relations officer with the Prince George RCMP, MacBurnie is wanted on multiple warrants and may be intentionally evading law enforcement authorities. His family is particularly worried about his well-being, given the circumstances.

MacBurnie is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 178 cm (5’10”) tall and weighing around 75 kg (165 lb). He has brown hair and blue eyes, as well as distinct physical markings including a scar on his left eye and a scar on his right hand. MacBurnie has several tattoos: one on his right forearm featuring the words “East Coast,” another on his left arm depicting a skull and flames, and a gargoyle head tattooed on his chest.

The police believe he is likely to be in the downtown area of Prince George, British Columbia. Cpl. Cooper emphasized the importance of community involvement in the search, stating, “Investigators are asking that if anyone sees him, they call the Prince George RCMP non-emergency line at 250-561-3300.”

As the investigation continues, police are hopeful that public awareness will help locate MacBurnie and ensure his safety. The RCMP are committed to following up on any leads provided by the community.
