Mother-Daughter Duo Releases Romantic Comedy Set in Seattle

Kathleen Lawless, a USA Today best-selling author, and her daughter, Reyna Lawless, have joined forces to create a new romantic comedy titled Cupid Grants a Second Chance. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for the duo, who reside in Saanich, as it is their first novel co-written together. With over 60 romance novels to her credit, Kathleen brings her extensive experience to this heartwarming project.

The novel is set against the backdrop of Seattle, a city renowned for its vibrant music scene and rich cultural history. Under the pen name Carissa Harper, Kathleen and Reyna infused personal history into their work. The name honors Kathleen’s great-grandfather, Wes Harper, who served as a city police officer in the 1890s and was a member of the department’s 1906 tug-of-war team.
