The Montreal Alouettes have officially signed American running back Eno Benjamin as of September 9, 2025. This move comes as the team seeks to bolster its lineup following a challenging stretch, including a five-game losing streak.

Eno Benjamin’s Career Overview

Eno Benjamin, 26, previously played for the Calgary Stampeders earlier this season, participating in two games where he achieved a total of 80 kickoff-return yards, 43 punt-return yards, and seven rushing yards. Benjamin’s departure from Calgary occurred last week, paving the way for his new opportunity with the Alouettes.

Before joining the Canadian Football League, Benjamin had a notable collegiate career at Arizona State University. He was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Over his time in the NFL, he accumulated 431 rushing yards and three touchdowns from 111 carries, along with 235 receiving yards from 31 receptions across 24 games with the Cardinals, Houston Texans, and New Orleans Saints.

Upcoming Challenges for the Alouettes

The Alouettes, currently sitting at 5-7, face a daunting challenge as they prepare to visit the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Saturday. Saskatchewan boasts the best record in the CFL at 10-2, making for a tough matchup for Montreal. Eno Benjamin’s addition aims to invigorate the team’s performance as they strive to turn their season around.

This information was reported by The Canadian Press, highlighting the ongoing developments within the CFL as teams make strategic adjustments in pursuit of playoff contention.
