Hennepin Library to Host Three Engaging Events in March
The Putnam County Public Library District’s Hennepin branch has announced it will host three events during the fourth week of March 2024. These programs aim to engage the local community and promote literacy and learning.
The Hennepin branch, located at 214 N. Fourth St., is set to feature a diverse lineup of activities designed for various age groups. The events will include a children’s story hour, a workshop for adults on digital resources, and a community book club meeting. Each event is intended to foster a love for reading and enhance community connections.
March 25, 2024, will kick off the week’s events with the children’s story hour, aimed at young readers and their families. This interactive session will include storytelling, crafts, and activities that promote early literacy skills. Local volunteers will facilitate the event, ensuring an engaging experience for all participants.
On March 27, 2024, adults can participate in a workshop focused on utilizing digital resources available at the library. This session will cover topics such as e-books, audiobooks, and online databases, providing attendees with practical skills to access a wealth of information. The workshop will be led by a knowledgeable librarian, who will guide participants through the library’s digital offerings.
Concluding the week, a community book club meeting will be held on March 29, 2024. This gathering will provide an opportunity for local readers to discuss a selected book and share their perspectives in a relaxed setting. Book club members are encouraged to bring their insights and engage in meaningful dialogue about the chosen title.
The Hennepin branch of the Putnam County Public Library District is dedicated to providing a welcoming space for community engagement.
