The notice issued by the municipality states, “Vehicles must be off municipal streets during the hours noted above.”

Violations of the parking ban could result in towing, as the municipality emphasizes that vehicles obstructing snow-clearing operations can be towed at any time of year, according to Section 139 of the Nova Scotia Motor Vehicle Act. Furthermore, vehicles that hinder sidewalk clearing can lead to accessibility issues for pedestrians, prompting the municipality to remind residents of their responsibility during winter months.
