NAGOYA – Canadian ice dancers Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier currently sit in third place following their performance in the rhythm dance at the Grand Prix Final. They achieved a score of 82.89 points early on December 7, 2025, placing them among the top competitors in this prestigious event, which showcases the world’s leading six pairs in each discipline.

Leading the competition are American duo Madison Chock and Evan Bates, who garnered 88.74 points. Following closely behind them is Laurence Fournier Beaudry, a Montreal native now representing France alongside partner Guillaume Cizeron.

In the pairs category, Canadian athletes Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps currently occupy sixth place after the short program, scoring 71.07 points. The competition also features Japan’s Yuma Kagiyama, who topped the men’s qualifying segment, surpassing reigning world champion Ilia Malinin.

The Grand Prix Final continues on December 8, 2025, with the pairs free skate and the women’s short programs scheduled for the day. As the event unfolds, Gilles and Poirier aim to improve their standing and potentially secure a podium finish in the final results.
