Alzheimer Society’s Battle of the Brains Fundraiser Draws Record Support
The Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County successfully hosted its 14th annual Battle of the Brains fundraiser on January 23, 2024, attracting a record number of participants. With the event held at the Ciociaro Club, organizers reported that they reached “absolute capacity,” filling the venue with 151 tables of enthusiastic attendees.
This year’s event showcased the community’s commitment to supporting those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The fundraiser, which combines a trivia competition with a charitable cause, is designed to raise both awareness and funds for vital programs and services offered by the Alzheimer Society.
The Battle of the Brains has grown significantly since its inception, reflecting an increasing recognition of the challenges posed by Alzheimer’s disease. Each table, representing teams of participants, competed for prizes while contributing to a meaningful cause.
