Xiaomi 17 Series Global Launch Expected in January 2026
Xiaomi is reportedly preparing for the global launch of its highly anticipated Xiaomi 17 series, with an expected debut in January 2026. The smartphone, which first gained attention following its official announcement in September 2025, is set to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This model may be released alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in various international markets.
Recent information shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav on the social media platform X indicates that the Xiaomi 17 could be unveiled in January 2026. Furthermore, he suggests that the phone will also reach the Indian market by late January or early February. This timeline marks a notable acceleration from the previous release schedule, where the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra models launched globally in March.
Benchmarks Reveal Specs for Global Variant
The Xiaomi 17 has been identified on the Geekbench benchmarking site, indicating that the global variant is in the testing phase. It has been assigned the model number 25113PN0EC, which confirms it will run on Android 16 and is equipped with 12GB of RAM. The performance scores from Geekbench showcase a single-core result of 3,176 and a multi-core score of 10,010, underlining the device’s powerful capabilities.
In addition to this, another listing reveals a model number 25113PN0EG, likely representing the global version. This entry shows notable scores in the AI performance category, including a Single-Precision score of 559 and a Half-Precision score of 555. The source code further confirms the presence of the Adreno 840 GPU, indicating consistent hardware across versions.
Features to Anticipate
The Xiaomi 17 is expected to mirror the specifications of its Chinese counterpart. It may feature a 6.3-inch LTPO 1.5K AMOLED display, a substantial 7,000mAh battery with 10W fast charging, and a sophisticated triple camera system developed in collaboration with Leica. Additional features likely include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and support for 50W wireless charging.
As Xiaomi continues to refine its product offerings, the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 series will likely generate significant consumer interest, particularly given its advanced technology and competitive specifications. The impending release, if confirmed, marks a strategic move by Xiaomi to capture market share in the highly competitive smartphone landscape.
