Vivo Launches Global Variants of X300 Series Phones on October 30
Vivo has announced that its latest flagship smartphones, the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro, will be available in global markets starting on October 30. The devices, which were recently unveiled in China, are set to make their European debut at 17:00 CET on the same day. While details regarding an official launch event remain unclear, Vivo’s previous interactions with global media suggest that this will primarily be an announcement rather than a full-scale event.
The announcement of the global launch aligns with Vivo’s strategy to expand its footprint in international markets. The company previously hosted media representatives in China for the initial unveiling of the X300 series, indicating a focus on direct communications rather than traditional launch events for international releases.
Specifications and Features
Both the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and offer up to 16GB of RAM, alongside UFS 4.1 dual-lane storage—at least in the Chinese market. The X300 features a 6.31-inch display, while the Pro model boasts a larger 6.78-inch screen. The differences extend beyond size, with the X300 Pro also housing a more advanced camera system.
The camera setup of the X300 Pro includes a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor. Additionally, it features a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera and a remarkable 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens that offers 3.7x optical zoom. This camera configuration mirrors that of the Vivo X200 Pro, but with enhanced processing capabilities for improved image quality.
Both smartphones will run on Android 16 with Vivo’s own OriginOS 6 interface, which will now be included in global units, replacing the previously used Funtouch OS. This transition indicates Vivo’s commitment to providing a consistent user experience across different regions.
As Vivo prepares for the global launch, consumers and enthusiasts alike are eager for more details regarding pricing and availability. The announcement on October 30 is expected to provide clarity on these aspects, marking a significant step for Vivo as it continues to compete in the global smartphone market.
