Public Mobile Launches Boxing Week Plans with Increased Data
Public Mobile has enhanced its data offerings in a recent promotional campaign, introducing new plans designed to attract customers during the Boxing Week shopping period. The Telus-owned carrier has increased data limits on its most popular plans to align with competitive offers from other providers, particularly Freedom Mobile.
As part of this Boxing Week Exclusive promotion, Public Mobile’s revised plans are as follows:
– $50/150GB 5G Canada/U.S./Mexico (previously $50/100GB)
– $40/100GB 5G Canada/U.S./Mexico (previously $40/70GB)
– $35/20GB 5G Canada/U.S./Mexico (previously $35/10GB)
– $30/8GB 5G Canada-wide (unchanged)
– $25/4GB 4G Canada-wide (unchanged)
– $20/1GB 4G Canada-wide (unchanged)
This promotion follows a similar move by Freedom Mobile, which recently announced its own Boxing Week deals, offering comparable plans at similar price points. For example, Freedom’s promotion includes a $9/month discount on several bring-your-own-phone plans, bringing prices down to $40/100GB and $50/150GB.
Despite not listing an end date for these deals, Public Mobile’s website notes, “These deals won’t last forever.” Historically, such promotions typically conclude in early January. Given the holiday season and the approaching start of the new year, interested customers may want to take advantage of these offers sooner rather than later.
In a competitive telecommunications market, these promotional efforts underscore the ongoing race among carriers to provide attractive data packages that meet the needs of consumers. As mobile data usage continues to rise, these offerings are likely to appeal to users looking for greater value during their mobile service subscriptions.
