The Motorola Moto G100 2025 has been officially launched as the latest addition to the Moto G series, debuting alongside the Moto X70 Air in China. This release marks a return of the Moto G100 name, first introduced in 2021, which was notable for being the first in the series to feature a Snapdragon 8 series chip.

While the design of the Moto G100 2025 retains the familiar Motorola aesthetic, it introduces significant upgrades in both appearance and specifications. The device showcases a punch-hole display and a quad-camera setup, with a camera visor that seamlessly integrates with the rear panel. These design elements echo the styles seen in other Motorola lines, including the G series and the Edge series.

Specifications and Performance Enhancements

Underneath its familiar exterior, the Moto G100 2025 boasts a range of enhanced specifications. It features a 6.72-inch LCD screen with a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, positioning it well within the budget Android phone market. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip and offers both 8GB and 12GB RAM options, complemented by storage variants of 256GB and 512GB.

Photography capabilities are impressive, with a 50MP primary lens utilizing a Sony LYT-600 sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera. For self-portraits, the Moto G100 2025 includes a 32MP front-facing camera, catering to users who prioritize high-quality images.

Battery and Additional Features

A standout feature of the Moto G100 2025 is its remarkable 7,000mAh battery, reflecting Motorola’s commitment to long-lasting power in its devices. This battery incorporates the latest silicon-carbon high-density technology, similar to advancements seen in other models like the OnePlus 13. Pre-installed with Android 15, the phone weighs approximately 210 grams and measures 8.6mm in thickness. Additionally, it holds an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, which is commendable in this price segment.

Currently, the Moto G100 2025 is priced at CNY 1,399 (approximately $196) for the model featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. While it is available in China at this time, the global release of the Moto G100 2025 remains uncertain. It is worth noting that the Moto X70 Air, launched concurrently, is expected to be rebranded as the Motorola Edge 70 for international markets later this year.

With its impressive specifications and competitive pricing, the Motorola Moto G100 2025 is poised to attract attention in the budget smartphone segment, continuing Motorola’s legacy of delivering value-packed devices.
