Luna 2.0 Smart Ring Launches with Advanced AI Features and 21-Day Battery Life
Luna has officially launched its latest innovation, the Luna 2.0 smart ring, at the IFA 2025 technology trade show. This new wearable device positions itself as a competitor to the popular Oura ring, boasting a range of advanced features designed to optimize user health and wellness. Central to the device’s functionality is the new operating system, LifeOS, which aims to transform biometric data into real-time guidance tailored to individual users.
Innovative Technology at the Forefront
At the heart of the Luna 2.0 is LifeOS, described as the “most data-trained AI wearable intelligence.” This system integrates various factors, including circadian rhythms, biomarker signals, personal habits, and contextual data, to create a comprehensive health monitoring experience. According to Luna, LifeOS has been trained on over a billion sleep events, making it the most advanced intelligence layer available in smart rings. It adapts to users’ lifestyles, providing insights that enhance daily performance based on their internal body clocks.
The built-in Luna AI 2.0 assistant further enhances the user experience by offering contextual and conversational suggestions. It guides users in areas such as optimizing sleep, managing energy levels, and improving movement patterns. This feature effectively bridges the gap between raw health data and practical wellness applications.
Features and Performance
The Luna 2.0 smart ring measures a variety of metrics, including real-time sleep, readiness, and activity scores. Driven by the Luna Engine, it analyzes physiological patterns to provide personalized recommendations on sleep quality and stress management. Users can expect deeper insights into their sleep cycles, including metrics like latency, efficiency, and disturbances during rest.
In terms of physical activity, the smart ring offers advanced tracking capabilities. It can monitor calories burned, effort levels, and specific activities such as running, cycling, and walking. Additionally, the device is capable of detecting physiological changes, such as temperature variations, to forecast phases in an individual’s cycle and deliver personalized wellness insights.
Durability is a key feature of the Luna 2.0, which is crafted from titanium and rated for 5 ATM water resistance. Battery life is another significant advantage; the ring provides up to five days of usage on a single charge, which can be extended to over 21 days when used with the redesigned charging case.
The Luna 2.0 smart ring is priced at approximately $300, or $329 with the surge charging case. It will be available for purchase through the Luna website, with additional availability on Amazon expected next month.
The introduction of the Luna 2.0 smart ring marks a notable advancement in wearable technology, combining cutting-edge AI features with user-friendly design to cater to health-conscious consumers. As the demand for smart health devices continues to grow, Luna’s innovative approach may set a new standard in the market.
