The base price for the 2026 Lexus RX lineup starts at $60,635 in Canada, with the highest configurations exceeding $89,000. The RX Series now features four all-wheel-drive powertrain options, catering to a diverse range of consumer preferences.
Powertrain Options and Performance
The standard RX 350 is equipped with a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. This model comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The RX 350h, a hybrid variant, utilizes a 2.5-litre hybrid-electric system that delivers 246 horsepower and boasts a remarkable fuel consumption rating of 6.5L/100 km.
For those seeking higher performance, the RX 500h combines a 2.4-litre turbocharged engine with a one-motor hybrid system, generating an impressive 367 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. This model features a six-speed automatic transmission and Lexus’s innovative DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system. Meanwhile, the RX 450h+, the plug-in hybrid option, offers an estimated electric-only driving range of 60 kilometres and an efficiency rating of 2.8 litres equivalent per 100 kilometres. This model can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in approximately 6.5 seconds and requires around 2.5 hours for a full battery charge.
New Features and Safety Enhancements
The RX 350 F SPORT Black Line introduces a striking black exterior aero kit, complemented by black five-spoke wheels and distinctive orange brake calipers. Interior enhancements feature grey contrast stitching, illuminated door sills, and specific mats that reflect the Black Line branding.
On the other hand, the RX 450h+ Ultra Premium is designed to provide greater luxury, including a 14-inch touchscreen, the Lexus Interface with full connectivity services, and an array of advanced driver assistance features.
Every model in the 2026 RX lineup is equipped with the Lexus Interface infotainment system, offering wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with screen sizes ranging from 9.8 inches to 14 inches. Higher trims include Drive Connect and cloud-based navigation. The lineup also features Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which incorporates essential driver-assist technologies, such as lane departure alert and pre-collision systems. Additional safety features include a backup camera, blind-spot monitor, and eight airbags, ensuring comprehensive protection for occupants.
Lexus vehicles are produced at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, located in Cambridge, Ontario, ensuring high standards in quality and craftsmanship.
The introduction of the RX 350 F SPORT Black Line and RX 450h+ Ultra Premium reflects Lexus’s commitment to providing consumers with a variety of options that blend performance, luxury, and advanced technology. As the automotive market evolves, these new models are positioned to meet the demands of luxury SUV buyers in Canada and beyond.
