Inkbook Solaris Launches for Pre-Order as New Color E-Reader
The Inkbook Solaris, a new color e-reader, is now available for pre-order at a price of €136.59. Designed for portability, this device features a compact 6-inch display and aims to enhance the reading experience for users across Europe and the UK.
Specifications and Features
The Solaris utilizes a 6-inch E Ink Kaleido 3 color e-paper display, offering a black and white resolution of 1872 x 1404 pixels with a density of 300 PPI for black and white content and 150 PPI for color. This ensures a clear and engaging reading experience, whether during the day or at night, thanks to its front-lit display and adjustable color temperature settings.
Available in four vibrant colors—black, yellow, blue, and pink—the Solaris is powered by a Quad-core ARM 64-bit Cortex-A55 processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, which can accommodate approximately 20,000 e-books. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB-C port for data transfer and charging. The device is equipped with a 1900mAh battery, providing up to two weeks of continuous use on a single charge.
Operating System and Compatibility
The Inkbook Solaris operates on InkBOOK OS, compatible with Android 11. It comes pre-installed with several applications, including Google Translate, Google Drive, and text-to-speech (TTS) functionality. Users can sideload applications such as comics, manga, and popular e-reading platforms like Cantook, Kindle, Wattpad, and Kobo. The device also features its own app store, expanding the range of available content.
Supporting a variety of e-book formats including EPUB, PDF, MOBI, and AZW, the Solaris caters to a diverse readership. Language options include English, Polish, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch, making it accessible to a broad audience.
With its innovative features and user-friendly design, the Inkbook Solaris presents an appealing option for readers looking to enjoy both e-books and audiobooks in a compact format.
