The Google Pixel 10 Pro has officially launched, with the announcement made on August 20, 2023, and full availability commencing on August 28, 2023. This latest addition to Google’s smartphone lineup boasts several enhancements, including improved charging capabilities, updated software, and advanced camera features. Prospective buyers are keen to understand the device’s charging speed, which plays a significant role in everyday usability.

Charging capabilities of the Pixel 10 Pro include support for up to 29W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. While these speeds are commendable, they do not match the higher rates offered by competitors such as OnePlus, which provide charging speeds exceeding 65W. Nevertheless, the charging performance of the Pixel 10 Pro is comparable to that of its predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro, ensuring that users will not experience a downgrade in charging efficiency.

Charging Speed Performance

With the 29W wired charging, users can expect to achieve approximately 50% battery life within just 30 minutes. However, as the battery approaches full capacity, the charging speed will gradually decrease. Consequently, it may take over an hour to fully charge the device from 0% to 100%. In comparison, the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL offers faster charging at 45W, catering to those who prefer a bigger display alongside quicker power replenishment.

The Pixel 10 Pro is now available for purchase, and Amazon is currently offering a promotional gift card valued at $200 for customers who buy the device.

Recommended Chargers for Optimal Performance

When it comes to selecting chargers for the Pixel 10 Pro, compatibility is broad, allowing the device to work with various options. However, certain chargers stand out for optimal performance.

One recommended option is the UGREEN 30W Nexode Charger. This compact charger operates at 30W, just above the Pixel 10 Pro’s maximum charging speed. Its small size makes it easy to fit into tight spaces, such as crowded power strips or behind furniture. The foldable prongs enhance its portability, making it a great travel companion, priced at just $11.99. Note that this charger does not include a cable, so users will need to have one on hand.

Another strong choice is the Mophie 15W Wireless Charging Pad with Kickstand. Although the promotional image features an iPhone, this charger is fully compatible with the Pixel 10 Pro, which supports wireless charging. The built-in kickstand allows users to position the phone conveniently for watching videos while charging, making it ideal for bedside use. This wireless charging pad is currently available for $17.99, discounted from its usual retail price of $34.99.

With the Pixel 10 Pro now on the market, potential buyers can evaluate their charging needs and choose the best accessories to complement their new device.
