Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Specs Unveiled Ahead of Launch
The highly anticipated specifications for the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold have been revealed ahead of its official launch on August 20, 2024. Detailed insights shared by WinFuture highlight significant advancements in display technology, camera capabilities, and processing power that set this device apart in the competitive smartphone market.
Display Features and Performance
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will boast an 8-inch OLED Super Actua Flex display, featuring a resolution of 2152 x 2076 pixels and a pixel density of 373 PPI. This foldable screen supports an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz and can achieve a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits, making it suitable for various lighting conditions. Accompanying the main display is a 6.4-inch OLED Actual cover display with a resolution of 2364 x 1080 and a pixel density of 408 PPI, also featuring an adaptive refresh rate of 60 to 120Hz.
Power and Storage Specifications
At the heart of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the Google Tensor G5, the first Tensor chip produced by TSMC. Alongside this processing unit, the device will include a Titan M2 security coprocessor to enhance security features. The phone will come equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, marking it as the sole RAM option available. On the storage front, consumers can choose from 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of internal storage utilizing the latest UFS 4.0 flash storage, significantly improving data transfer speeds.
Camera specifications also enhance the device’s appeal. The rear will feature a triple-camera setup: a 48-megapixel main camera with an f/1.7 aperture, a 10.5-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom. Both the front and cover displays will house a 10-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery Life and Software Support
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be powered by a robust 5,015mAh battery. Charging capabilities include a rapid charge that reaches 50% in just 30 minutes with a 30W USB-C PPS charger and support for 15W Qi2 wireless charging. The device will ship with Android 16 pre-installed, and Google has committed to providing 7 years of updates for operating system enhancements, security patches, and feature drops.
Additional features include an IP68 certification, ensuring resistance to dust and water, as well as dual SIM capabilities (nano SIM and eSIM), Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner will also be included for added security.
The dimensions of the device are notable, measuring 155.2 x 76.3 x 10.8mm when folded and 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.2mm when unfolded, weighing in at 258 grams. It will be available in two color options: Jade and Moonstone.
Google’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the packaging, which is designed to be plastic-free. The retail package will include a 1-meter USB-C to USB-C cable, while a charger will not be provided. A SIM card tool will be included within the box.
