Canadian Studio Unveils MARS: The Last Exodus Demo on Steam

Canadian game development studio Cyborg Dreams has announced that its latest title, MARS: The Last Exodus, will be featured in the upcoming Steam Next Fest, which takes place in October 2023. Players will have the opportunity to experience an exclusive demo that immerses them in the challenging environment of Mars, where the quest for survival becomes the central focus.
In the demo, players assume command of Expedition Exodus during its formative phase on the Red Planet. The adventure commences with the construction of the first vital structure known as the Dome. This facility is essential for transforming the barren Martian landscape into a habitable environment. As oxygen fills the Dome, players can cultivate their first crops, establishing the groundwork for a sustainable colony on Mars.
Despite the initial promise of a new beginning, life on Mars presents numerous challenges. As darkness falls, players must contend with relentless swarms of Marsects, aggressive creatures that threaten to deplete resources and destroy the burgeoning colony. To thrive, players need to engage in meticulous planning and resource management while remaining ever-vigilant against these threats.
To bolster their settlement’s defenses, players can research new technologies through an expansive Tech Tree and mobilize Mech armies in real-time. The combination of real-time strategy (RTS) elements with deep colony management sets MARS: The Last Exodus apart from typical sci-fi city builders. The game requires players to continuously adapt to the evolving Martian environment, making every decision pivotal for survival.
As players progress, they expand their colonies, fend off dangerous swarms, and gradually assert their dominance over the Red Planet. The game promises a unique blend of strategy, survival, and base-building mechanics, ensuring an engaging experience that challenges both tactical thinking and long-term planning.
The demo available during the Steam Next Fest offers a glimpse into what players can expect from this ambitious title. With its intricate gameplay mechanics and immersive setting, MARS: The Last Exodus invites gamers to step into a perilous yet compelling world, where every decision can mean the difference between survival and defeat.
