Young Trick-or-Treaters Bring The Wizard of Oz to Life in Sault Ste. Marie
On October 28, 2023, families in Sault Ste. Marie celebrated Halloween with vibrant costumes as they took to the streets for trick-or-treating. Among the enthusiastic participants was a group of young children dressed as beloved characters from The Wizard of Oz, captivating onlookers as they paraded along Queen Street East.
The Gendron and Belsito families embraced the spirit of the occasion, with siblings Haddie Gendron (3), Harper Gendron (6), and Owen Belsito (3) showcasing their imaginative costumes. Accompanied by parents Jessica Gendron and Heather Belsito, along with eight-month-old Oliver Belsito, the group drew smiles from both residents and fellow trick-or-treaters.
Community Engagement and Festivities
The event highlighted the sense of community in Sault Ste. Marie, with families eager to engage in festive activities. Local businesses along Queen Street East participated by decorating their storefronts and providing treats, creating a lively atmosphere for children and adults alike.
