Women Empowered: Western Manitoba Centre Celebrates International Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2024, the Western Manitoba Women’s Centre has launched a community initiative to inspire and empower women. Throughout the week leading up to this important day, the centre has encouraged visitors to share messages of hope and support, creating an inclusive environment for expression and solidarity.

Located on Rosser Avenue, the centre has become a focal point for local women to gather and reflect on their experiences. Leanne Bone, an Indigenous program co-ordinator at the centre, spearheaded the initiative by posting an inspirational message board.
