Since its formation in 2019, Trio Bohémo has quickly risen to prominence, earning numerous prestigious awards. Their breakthrough moment came in 2021 when they claimed first prize at the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Austria, followed by a victory at the International Parkhouse Award in London just weeks later. The trio’s talent and deep musicality have made waves across Europe and beyond.

Accolades and Performances

The trio’s accolades include noteworthy success at the Gianni Bergamo Award in Lugano, Switzerland, where they received second prize. This recognition allowed them entry into the Le Dimore del Quartetto network, which honored them as Ensemble of the Year 2021. Their performances at the ISA Festival in Austria further solidified their reputation, earning them special prizes for interpretations of works by Bohuslav Martinů and Czech contemporary chamber music.

In 2022 and 2023, Trio Bohémo continued to achieve success on the competition circuit. They appeared on BBC Radio’s 3 In Tune show, showcasing their musical talents to a broader audience. Their accolades include first prize and the best interpretation award at the Stasys Vainiunas International Chamber Music Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania. This was followed by top honors at the International Joseph Joachim Competition in Weimar, where they were also recognized for their contemporary piece performance.

Their achievements did not stop there. Trio Bohémo received further accolades at the ISA Festival in Austria as the best chamber music ensemble with piano, along with multiple prizes at the International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna, including first prize and the audience prize. International recognition continued with a third prize and audience prize at the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition in Australia, along with three special prizes at the ARD International Music Competition.

Upcoming Performance and Support

Trio Bohémo has performed at prestigious venues such as the Vienna Musikverein and Wigmore Hall in London. They have participated in several renowned festivals, including the Prague Spring Festival and Schwarzwald Musikfestival.

The trio is composed of talented musicians who have studied under notable instructors, including Hatto Beyerle and Johannes Meissl, as part of their membership in the European Chamber Music Academy from 2020 to 2022. Support from benefactors such as Dr. Jan Telenský has allowed members to perform on exquisite instruments, including a copy of the Antonio Stradivari ‘Willemotte’ violin and a cello by Fausto Maria Bertucci.
