Support Local Alzheimer Society with Pizza Fundraiser on Oct. 2
A pizza fundraiser aims to support the local Alzheimer Society in Sault Ste. Marie. On October 2, 2023, residents can contribute by ordering the Dough Raising Special from either of the two Domino’s locations in the area. Each special, priced at $19.99, includes a large two-topping pizza and cheesy bread. For each order placed using the offer code DR, $5 will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District.
Details of the Fundraising Effort
The fundraiser will run throughout the day, making it convenient for individuals and families looking to enjoy a meal without cooking. The funds raised through this initiative will directly support various local programs. According to a news release, these programs include education, family support, recreation therapy, the Minds in Motion program, Transition to Long-Term Care Support, and the Adult Day Program.
To maintain its essential services, the local Alzheimer Society needs to raise over $400,000 annually. This fundraiser represents a significant opportunity for community members to make a difference while enjoying a meal with loved ones. The initiative not only promotes awareness about Alzheimer’s disease but also fosters community involvement.
Residents are encouraged to mark their calendars and participate in this meaningful event. By ordering from Domino’s on October 2, they can enjoy a delicious meal while supporting a vital cause in their community.
