Three women from Rock Falls have launched a new podcast and community initiative called Generations Woven. Created by Tasha Garcia, Judy Randall, and Nerina Human, the project aims to foster connections among women through candid conversations and shared experiences. The podcast debuted recently, with new episodes set to be released weekly on Sunday evenings.

Fostering Connection Across Generations

Garcia noted the significance of their diverse backgrounds, stating, “Judy and I grew up right here in Rock Falls, and Nerina, originally from South Africa, has become a vital part of our local community.” The trio is dedicated to bringing forth a positive initiative tailored to the needs of the Sauk Valley area.

Each episode of the podcast delves into various themes, including identity beyond societal titles, life transitions, and the pivotal moments that inform women’s experiences at different stages of life. These discussions aim to break generational patterns and facilitate deeper understanding among listeners.

The podcast is accessible on YouTube at Generations Woven. Along with the podcast, the team has introduced a 10-day guided workbook designed to encourage women to slow down and reconnect with themselves and their communities. The workbook has already seen strong sales, with dozens of copies sold since its launch, indicating a positive reception among the target audience.

Community Engagement and Future Events

The launch of Generations Woven was accompanied by an in-person community event that successfully brought together women of various ages. This gathering underscored the need for multi-generational spaces that promote support and shared experiences. Early engagement statistics are promising, with over 1,000 views recorded across the first three podcast episodes and accompanying short videos shortly after the launch.

Looking ahead, the initiative plans to expand through additional podcast episodes, community gatherings, workshops, and speaking engagements throughout 2026. One notable upcoming event is Goals Bingo 2026, scheduled for January 10, 2026. This free community event aims to assist women in setting intentional goals within a supportive, multi-generational environment.
