Manitoba Names Baylor and Brewer as 2026 Adventure Dog Duo

Travel Manitoba has selected a remarkable duo as the 2026 Manitoba Adventure Dogs, naming Baylor and Brewer as the province’s canine ambassadors. This decision highlights the increasing trend of Manitobans traveling with their pets. Baylor, a four-year-old Husky/Akita mix, and Brewer, a three-year-old Golden Labrador, reside just outside of Winnipeg with their owners, Mikayla Rybuck and Hunter Quiring.

Mikayla initiated their campaign by sharing captivating moments on social media, using the hashtag #MBAdventureDog2026. Posts featured the energetic pair running along beaches, exploring forests, and splashing into lakes. A panel of judges, which included Winnipeg Blue Bombers star and dog rescue advocate Brady Oliveira, evaluated numerous entries. Ultimately, the contest committee decided to recognize both Baylor and Brewer for their adventurous spirit.

“Allison Dalke, Marketing Team Lead for Travel Manitoba, expressed enthusiasm about the duo’s selection, stating, “They’re not just adorable, they’re natural explorers. Baylor and Brewer already live the Manitoba adventure lifestyle, and we can’t wait to help them discover even more dog-friendly destinations.”

Being crowned the top adventure dogs comes with significant rewards. The prize package includes gift cards for Cabela’s and The Forks, a two-night stay at The Rosé Beach House in Winnipeg Beach, a variety of Manitoba merchandise, and prominent features on Travel Manitoba’s website and social media channels.
