The 2026 Miss Chicago and Miss Chicago’s Teen competition crowned six titleholders on January 11, 2026, including local favorite Alexis McCullough. The 17-year-old, who previously held the title of Miss Kankakee’s Teen 2025, was awarded the title of Miss Chicago’s Teen 2026 during the event held at the Irish American Heritage Center in Chicago.

McCullough, a student at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School, gained recognition for her efforts in raising funds for her Eagle Scout service project, which involved the establishment of a Woody Williams Foundation Gold Star Families Memorial Monument. This significant memorial is now located in Marcotte Park in Bourbonnais, Illinois.

Crowning Achievements and Competition Highlights

The competition unfolded over three hours, featuring various segments such as interviews, evening gown presentations, and talent performances. In addition to winning the main title, McCullough received several awards, including the Imani P. Muse Interview Award and the Talent/HERStory Award. She also tied with Kerry Koranteng for the Evening Gown Award, showcasing her well-rounded talents.

The event saw Kate Dimmett crowned as Miss Chicago 2026. The Miss Chicago competition is a part of the Miss America organization, which began in 1922, making it the oldest pageant in Illinois. This year’s event marked the 104th iteration of the competition, highlighting its longstanding tradition.

Other winners included Allison Garcia, who was crowned Miss Windy City, and Landry Shine, named Miss Windy City’s Teen. Additionally, Sharron Kagan and Kerry Koranteng captured the titles of Miss Cook County and Miss Cook County’s Teen, respectively.
