Kimberley Food Bank Celebrates Retirement of Longtime Volunteers

The Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank has announced the retirement of two dedicated volunteers, Judy Peterson and Judy Caron, after more than 20 years of service. Their commitment to the organization and the community has left a significant mark, highlighting the essential role volunteers play in supporting those in need.
Manager Thom Tarte expressed deep appreciation for the contributions made by both women. “Both Judys have been devoted volunteers at the food bank for over 20 years, offering their time, energy, and compassion to help those in need,” he stated. Their tireless efforts have provided invaluable support to the local community, ensuring that many families receive necessary assistance.
As Peterson and Caron transition into retirement, the food bank reflects on their lasting impact. “As they retire and move on to new adventures, we celebrate their lasting impact and the legacy of kindness they leave behind,” Tarte noted. Their departure serves as a reminder of the vital importance of volunteers in sustaining the food bank’s mission, which relies heavily on community support.
The Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank is now seeking new volunteers to continue this spirit of service. Tarte emphasized that this is an opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference. “If someone is passionate about making a difference in their community, this is a meaningful opportunity to get involved,” he said.
