Four residents of Nova Scotia have been awarded the prestigious 2025 Medal of Bravery for their remarkable acts of courage in protecting the lives and property of others. This recognition, bestowed by the provincial government, highlights the extraordinary bravery displayed by these individuals, who went above and beyond the call of duty.

During the award ceremony, Premier Tim Houston emphasized the significance of the medal, stating, “The Nova Scotia Medal of Bravery recognizes extraordinary courage and heroism, and that is what our four honourees have demonstrated. The Medal of Bravery has been awarded since 2008, with a total of 59 Nova Scotians receiving this honour to date. The award serves to celebrate the selfless actions of individuals who exhibit bravery in challenging situations, often placing their own safety at risk to save others.
