Denim and Diamonds Gala Marks 30 Years of Philanthropy

The upcoming Denim and Diamonds Gala, a cherished annual event in Windsor-Essex, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Circle of Seven charity on November 1, 2023. Hosted at the Hellenic Cultural Centre on Walker Road, this gala stands as one of the charity’s most significant fundraising events, having raised an impressive $5 million for local charitable causes over the years.
Guests will have the opportunity to don their best denim attire while enjoying a gourmet buffet, an array of cocktail offerings, and live music. The event not only promises a festive atmosphere but also aims to support local charities that often operate without substantial government funding.
Rob Agnew, one of the original founding members of the Circle of Seven, highlighted the value of attending the gala. “Tickets are, again this year, $125. And you get a lot for the money, believe me,” Agnew stated. “From live music to great food, a lot of fun silent auctions, and live auctions. We have people that do their Christmas shopping on our auctions. In fact, I just ordered a couple of things for the auction table that are toys for kids.”
The gala includes both silent and live auctions, providing attendees with a chance to win various items while contributing to a good cause. The proceeds from these auctions will directly benefit local organizations, ensuring essential support for those that often go unnoticed in the community.
As the Circle of Seven enters its third decade, the Denim and Diamonds Gala represents not just a celebration of the past but a commitment to future charitable efforts in Windsor-Essex. The event aims to foster a spirit of giving and community involvement, encouraging attendees to make a difference while enjoying a vibrant evening of entertainment and philanthropy.
