Community Mourns the Loss of Caring Nurse Caroline Armstrong
Caroline Armstrong, a dedicated mother, grandmother, and nurse, passed away unexpectedly, leaving a profound impact on her family and community. Known for her kindness and unwavering strength, Armstrong devoted her life to caring for others, both in her role as a Registered Labour and Delivery Nurse and in her personal relationships. She died on October 27, 2025, after facing the challenges of Parkinson’s disease with grace and resilience.
Armstrong’s gentle demeanor and compassion made her a cherished figure among her family, friends, and colleagues. Her ability to comfort others simply by being present showcased the depth of her caring nature. Throughout her decades-long career, Armstrong exemplified what it meant to be a dedicated caregiver. Even when faced with her own health struggles, her commitment to helping those around her never wavered.
A Legacy of Love and Compassion
Caroline Armstrong is survived by her husband, Sonnie Armstrong, and their children, Martin Armstrong and Kelly Armstrong. She also leaves behind her granddaughter, Gracie Jack, and numerous beloved relatives, including her siblings, nieces, and nephews. Armstrong will be deeply missed by her closest friend, Bonnie Maguire, and her many colleagues from the Labour and Delivery unit.
Her passing has created a void in the lives of those who knew her. The weight of loss is palpable, and many are left reflecting on the love and lessons that she imparted through her actions. Armstrong’s legacy is one of kindness, patience, and an unwavering spirit that inspired everyone in her life.
Celebration of Life and Contributions
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel, located at 492 Wellington Street East, on October 27, 2025, from 12:00 to 15:00. In honor of Caroline’s commitment to helping others, memorial contributions to Parkinson Canada or the Salvation Army are encouraged. Donations can be made online or via cheque.
The family expresses their gratitude to the team at Pathways for their compassionate care and support during this challenging time. Their kindness will forever be remembered.
