Community Donors Rally for Sault Star Santa Fund 2025
The Sault Star has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the numerous donors supporting the 2025 Sault Star Santa Fund, which directly benefits Christmas Cheer. The initiative aims to spread holiday cheer within the community, and the publication will regularly update donor lists both online at www.saultstar.com and in print.
The Santa Fund is essential for many families during the festive season. As donations pour in, the community’s spirit shines bright. In a special acknowledgment, the owners and staff of The Shoe Fits! have played a significant role in facilitating the kiosk campaign at Station Mall, which has been instrumental in gathering contributions. The mall’s support in providing space for this initiative is also highly appreciated.
Several notable donations have already been recorded, showcasing the generosity of the community. For instance, Ken Culhane contributed $200.00 with a heartfelt message wishing family and friends a Merry Christmas. The Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority donated $250.00, wishing peace and beauty during the holiday season.
Others have also shown their support. For example, Beverley and Hubic Brazeau donated $75.00, while Doris and Terry Boyd contributed $100.00 with wishes for peace and love. Allan and Carole McPhee also gave $100.00, sending warm holiday greetings.
In memory of loved ones, donations reflect the deep connections within the community. Diane Marshall donated $100.00 in memory of Glennie Marshall, while Donna Hagarty made a significant contribution of $400.00 in memory of her family members.
The Sault Star Santa Fund continues to receive support from various individuals and organizations. For instance, the Knights of Columbus contributed $250.00 while the Holy Family C.W.L. donated $100.00. Generous contributions also include anonymous donations, with one reaching as high as $2,500.00.
The collective effort of the community has a profound impact, ensuring that families in need experience the joy of the holiday season. More updates will be shared in the upcoming days, encouraging continued participation and support.
As the festive season approaches, the Sault Star reminds everyone of the importance of giving and spreading cheer. Each contribution, regardless of size, helps create a brighter Christmas for many.
The Santa Fund is not just a fundraising effort; it is a testament to the community’s strength and unity in supporting one another during the holiday season.
