Claire Boudreau Honored with DAR Citizenship Award at La Salle-Peru

Claire Boudreau, a senior at La Salle-Peru Township High School, has been awarded the prestigious Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Citizenship Award for the 2025-26 academic year. This award recognizes students who exemplify outstanding qualities of patriotism, service, leadership, and dependability. Boudreau’s selection was made by the school’s faculty, highlighting her exceptional contributions to the school community.

As the daughter of Nathan and Rebecca Boudreau of Oglesby, Claire has made a significant impact at La Salle-Peru. According to Emily Carney, chair of the school’s counseling department, “When it comes to identifying the most outstanding seniors in the Class of 2026, Claire Boudreau is a name that comes to the majority of staff and students’ minds.” Carney emphasized Boudreau’s integrity, commitment to academics, and extensive involvement in school activities.

Leadership and Involvement

Boudreau’s contributions extend across a range of activities at La Salle-Peru. She is an active member of the student council, participates in the softball team, and plays a vital role in Link Crew and the senior board. Additionally, she has taken on leadership responsibilities with the Superfans and CAVS Day initiatives.
