Chip In Batavia Hosts Annual Prom Dress Giveaway on March 14-15
Chip In Batavia will collaborate with the Batavia Public Library to present its annual Prom Dress Collection Drive and Giveaway, aimed at ensuring students can attend prom regardless of financial constraints. The event is scheduled for March 14 from 09:00 to 16:00 and March 15 from 12:30 to 15:00 at the library located at 10 S. Batavia Ave.
The free giveaway will feature a selection of prom dresses, purses, accessories, new makeup, shoes, and jewelry, all in good to excellent condition. To support this initiative, donations of clean prom dresses and related items will be accepted at the library’s checkout desk until March 13. Additionally, monetary contributions are welcomed and will be allocated towards purchasing prom tickets and tuxedo rentals. Donors can make checks payable to the Batavia Foundation for Educational Excellence, with “CHIP IN Batavia” noted in the memo line.
The impact of the Chip In Batavia initiative is considerable. In 2025, the program successfully provided over 800 dresses to students across more than seven charities and 40 schools, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing the prom experience for all students in the community.
For further information, community members are encouraged to reach out via email at [email protected], visit the official website at chipinbatavia.org, or call 630-879-1393. Updates and additional details can also be found on the CHIP IN Batavia Facebook page.
