Chestermere Whitecappers Association Raises Funds with Quilt Raffle
The Chestermere Whitecappers Association recently hosted a successful raffle for a unique quilt skirt, raising funds to support its various programs for the local community. The winning ticket was drawn, with Brenda Ell taking home the quilt skirt prize. The event marks another fundraising effort by the association, which has been serving the needs of the community for over 40 years.
Ellen Neary, the association’s president, expressed gratitude to all those who participated by purchasing tickets. Neary emphasized the vital role these funds play in sustaining the fitness, social, and educational initiatives designed for residents aged 50 and over. The Whitecappers Association has been a cornerstone in promoting active and engaged lifestyles among older adults in Chestermere.
The organization has a long-standing tradition of supporting its members through various programs tailored to enhance their quality of life. With this latest raffle, the association aims to continue its mission of fostering community spirit and well-being among seniors. The funds generated from the raffle will directly contribute to the ongoing success of these initiatives.
In addition to the quilt skirt raffle, the Whitecappers Association regularly organizes events and activities that cater to the interests and needs of its members. These initiatives not only provide physical and mental engagement but also create opportunities for social interaction among participants.
The Chestermere Whitecappers Association continues to exemplify the importance of community involvement, demonstrating how local organizations can make a significant impact in enhancing the lives of their members. As the association looks forward to future events, it remains committed to its mission of serving the 50+ demographic with programs that promote health, education, and social connection.
