A resident of Airdrie, Alberta, has become a millionaire after purchasing a winning scratch ticket while making a brief stop at a local gas station. Gurpal Parmar scratched off his $100 Ultimate scratch and win ticket to reveal a prize of $1,000,000, leaving him in a state of disbelief.

“I felt like I needed to sit and have some water — I was in pure disbelief and had to pinch myself!” Parmar recounted in an interview with LottoSpot. The life-changing moment unfolded at a Mobil gas station in Olds, Alberta, where he purchased the ticket.

After discovering his newfound wealth, Parmar’s first call was to his mother. He even recorded a video of himself checking the ticket to share the joyous news with her, resulting in what he described as “happy tears.”

Plans for the Future

With his winnings, Parmar has ambitious plans that include purchasing a new car and a house. He is also looking forward to making memories with his family, as he mentioned, “My family and I have never taken a family vacation, so we’ll probably do that as well!”
