Two notable programs from the region, the Campbell River and Central Vancouver Island Crime Stoppers, were recognized for their exceptional contributions to community engagement and crime awareness.

Both programs were honored with the Excellence in Community Engagement and Awareness awards. The Campbell River chapter revitalized its approach, modernizing its messaging and strategies, which resulted in a remarkable 28 percent increase in tips from the public. Meanwhile, the Central Vancouver Island Crime Stoppers expanded its jurisdiction, allowing it to serve a broader and more diverse population in need of support.

British Columbia Crime Stoppers acknowledges that 2025 has been a pivotal year in terms of public engagement in British Columbia and is especially proud to highlight the success of its partners and community programs which have received international recognition across major categories,” stated a representative in a press release.

In addition to the accomplishments of the local programs, the E Division RCMP Crime Stoppers Unit was awarded the Law Enforcement Partnership Award. This award recognizes the unit’s outstanding collaboration in enhancing the operational integrity and alignment between Crime Stoppers and law enforcement agencies across the province.
