St. Mary River Irrigation District Offers Scholarships for Students
Post-secondary students in southern Alberta have a limited window to secure funding through the annual scholarship program offered by the St. Mary River Irrigation District. The final deadline for applications is set for August 31, 2025, providing a crucial opportunity for eligible students to receive financial assistance.
The scholarship program awards up to 15 students with $2,000 each. To qualify, applicants must meet at least one of several criteria. They should either be in their second year or higher at a recognized university, college, or technical institute, or they should be entering an internship or co-operative work term. This funding aims to support students as they advance their education and gain practical experience in their fields.
Interested students can access the application forms online, making the process straightforward and accessible. The scholarship represents a significant resource for students striving to enhance their educational journey while managing the financial burdens associated with post-secondary education.
For those in the region, this scholarship not only encourages academic excellence but also aims to foster a skilled workforce that can contribute to the local economy. The St. Mary River Irrigation District seeks to invest in the future of its community by supporting the educational aspirations of its youth.
As the deadline approaches, students are urged to complete their applications promptly, ensuring they do not miss out on this valuable opportunity. The initiative underscores the importance of investing in education and providing support to those who will shape the future of southern Alberta.
