Lethbridge School Division to Host Annual Town Hall on February 3
Families in the Lethbridge School Division are invited to participate in an annual Town Hall event on February 3, 2026. The gathering will take place from 18:30 to 20:30 at Victoria Park High School. This event aims to foster communication between the school division and its community, allowing attendees to ask questions and share insights regarding the educational environment.
Christine Light, the Board Chair of the Lethbridge School Division, emphasized the importance of community engagement. She stated, “Our Board values every member of our Division family, and Town Hall is one way we are able to connect with all levels of our community to hear feedback on important issues.” The event is designed to collect feedback that will aid the Board of Trustees and the Division in future planning efforts.
The Town Hall serves as a vital opportunity for students, parents, guardians, caregivers, staff, and other community members to voice their opinions. Light noted, “Trustees are there to listen. All feedback gathered on-site and online is reviewed by the Board and Executive Council and helps guide strategic planning for the Division moving forward.” This commitment to transparency ensures that decisions are informed by the perspectives of those directly affected by them.
As the date approaches, more information regarding registration and the specific topics to be discussed will be made available. Participants can expect to receive updates on the Division’s official website, www.lethsd.ab.ca, as plans for the evening are finalized. The organization encourages everyone to take part in this collaborative effort to enhance public education in Lethbridge.
This Town Hall represents an important platform for community involvement, demonstrating the Lethbridge School Division’s dedication to creating an inclusive environment where all voices are heard.
