On September 7, 2023, Josiah Kicks Academy is hosting a fundraising summer fair aimed at supporting local taekwondo athletes representing British Columbia at the ITF Taekwondo World Championships this year. The event features martial arts demonstrations, mini-games, and prizes, along with food vendors and booths from local businesses.

Richmond Farm Fest Celebrates Local Agriculture

After a six-year hiatus, the Richmond Farm Fest is back on September 7, 2023, celebrating the city’s agricultural heritage. Festival highlights include a Farmers and Artisans Market featuring locally grown produce and homemade goods.

The event will showcase culinary demonstrations by Pursuit Kitchen, with chefs conducting live cooking sessions at noon, 1 PM, and 2 PM using fresh ingredients sourced from local farms. The Steveston Community Society is hosting a Community Appreciation Day on September 7, 2023, to celebrate the existing community centre and library before its impending closure in December.
