The DeKalb Public Library is set to host a creative program on January 21, allowing adults and teens to engage in the art of bedazzling books. This free event will take place at 18:00 in the library’s 309 Creative makerspace, located at 309 Oak St.

Participants are encouraged to either bring a paperback book of their choice or select one from the library’s complimentary collection. The library will provide all necessary supplies, including glue and gems, to enhance the books. Due to limited space and materials, attendees will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis, and no prior registration is necessary.

For those seeking additional information about the event, inquiries can be directed to Amy F. via email at [email protected] or by calling 815-756-9568, extension 2150. This initiative not only promotes creativity but also encourages community engagement through the love of reading and crafting.
