DeKalb County Retired Teachers Association to Host Meeting on Nov. 11
The DeKalb County Retired Teachers Association is set to hold a meeting for its members on November 11, 2023, at the Oak Crest dining room located at 2944 Greenwood Acres, DeKalb. The event will commence at 11 a.m. and aims to provide a platform for retired educators to connect and engage with one another.
This month’s meeting will feature a presentation by Matt Stark, a dietician from Hy-Vee. Stark will share insights on nutrition and health, topics that are increasingly relevant for retirees looking to maintain their well-being. Following the presentation, attendees can enjoy a buffet meal priced at $19, allowing for further social interaction among the participants.
Attendance is encouraged for all retired teachers in the area. To ensure adequate preparations, registration is mandatory and must be completed by November 6, 2023. Interested individuals can register by calling 815-895-5494.
This meeting not only fosters community among retired educators but also emphasizes the importance of health and nutrition in their lives. The DeKalb County Retired Teachers Association continues to play a vital role in supporting its members through educational and social events.
