Brandon University and Assiniboine College Announce Holiday Schedules

The final exams for the fall semester at Brandon University conclude today, marking the end of the academic term. Following the exams, the university will begin its holiday break, which starts on December 22, 2025, and runs until January 5, 2026, when the institution reopens for winter orientation.

On the reopening date, some classes within the Faculty of Education will commence, while most other courses will officially begin on January 6. Throughout the holiday season, the Healthy Living Centre will remain operational, although it will close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day. The Bobcat Athletics teams are currently on break, with competitive play in Canada West scheduled to resume in January. The basketball teams will take to the court first, facing the University of Winnipeg Wesmen in home games on January 8 and January 9 at the Healthy Living Centre.
