Archive Workshop Empowers Sault Ste. Marie Residents to Preserve History
Residents of Sault Ste. Marie will have the opportunity to enhance their archival skills at a workshop hosted by the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library’s North Branch. The session, scheduled for September 23, 2023, at 6 p.m., will focus on practical tips for organizing, storing, and caring for personal archival materials.
Led by a qualified archive technician, this hour-long workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge needed to start their own personal archives. Attendees will learn effective methods for cataloging their documents and preserving important items, ensuring that their personal histories are maintained for future generations.
Admission to the workshop is free, making it accessible for all community members. Interested individuals can begin registering on Tuesday at 10 a.m.. Registration can be completed by calling 705-759-5248 or visiting EventBrite.ca for online sign-ups.
