ACES Academy Celebrates National School Choice Week with Community Event
ACES Academy in Montgomery, Illinois, has been recognized nationally for its efforts in helping parents navigate educational options for their children. The institution was named an All-Star participant in the upcoming National School Choice Week, which runs from January 25 to January 31, 2024. This distinction is awarded by the National School Choice Awareness Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting school choice.
According to a news release from ACES Academy, fewer than 5% of the over 26,400 schools participating in National School Choice Week receive the All-Star designation. This honor is given to schools that excel in raising awareness about the diverse educational opportunities available to families, which include public, charter, magnet, private, online, and home education.
Community Engagement and Educational Options
As an All-Star participant, ACES Academy is committed to hosting events that are centered around families and education. The academy’s initiatives aim to enhance parental understanding of school choice options while celebrating students, educators, and local school communities. In line with this, ACES Academy will host a special event titled “Fireside Chat” on January 31, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
This event will take place at 63 Fernwood Road, Door 2, Montgomery, and is open to families and founders of educational programs across Illinois. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the learning environment, interact with educators, and experience hands-on learning stations. Additionally, current homeschooling families will share their experiences, providing insights into various educational pathways.
Registration for the Fireside Chat is now open through the ACES Academy website at www.togetherwelearnbetter.com/events. The event promises to be an engaging platform for parents and students to explore their educational choices while fostering a sense of community.
National Recognition and Impact
The recognition of ACES Academy as an All-Star participant underscores the institution’s dedication to education and its proactive approach to community engagement. By hosting events like the Fireside Chat, ACES Academy not only informs families about their options but also strengthens the local education network.
The National School Choice Week, celebrated annually, serves as an important reminder of the various educational pathways available to families. With the participation of ACES Academy, this year’s celebration is set to highlight the importance of informed decision-making in education.
The efforts of ACES Academy and similar institutions are vital in ensuring that families are equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed choices about their children’s education.
